Engine Mount Bracket Series

Engine Mount Bracket Series
Toyota Supplier Network July 2026

This project involved the high-volume production of precision engine mount brackets for a major automotive OEM. The components play a critical role in securing the engine assembly to the vehicle chassis, requiring exceptional dimensional accuracy, structural strength, and long-term durability under continuous vibration and dynamic loading.

The manufacturing process utilized high-strength low-alloy (HSLA) steel with advanced deep drawing, precision piercing, and tapping operations to produce complex geometries while maintaining tight tolerances. Every production stage was monitored through comprehensive quality control procedures to ensure consistent performance across large production volumes.

Scope of Work

Our responsibilities for this project included:

  • Manufacturing of high-volume engine mount brackets.

  • Deep drawing of HSLA steel components.

  • Secondary piercing operations.

  • Precision tapping for threaded mounting points.

  • Tool and die maintenance throughout production.

  • In-process dimensional verification.

  • Final quality inspection and documentation.

  • Packaging and delivery to the customer's assembly facility.

Manufacturing Capabilities

The project leveraged advanced production technologies, including:

  • Progressive and deep drawing stamping presses.

  • Precision piercing dies.

  • Automated tapping equipment.

  • Custom production fixtures.

  • In-line gauge inspection systems.

  • Statistical Process Control (SPC) monitoring.

  • Batch traceability and production documentation.

Production Performance

The production program was optimized for large-scale manufacturing while maintaining strict quality standards, including:

  • High-volume production with consistent output.

  • Precision forming of HSLA steel components.

  • Accurate threaded hole creation through secondary tapping.

  • 100% gauge inspection for critical dimensions.

  • Statistical Process Control (SPC) applied throughout production.

  • Stable dimensional consistency across all production lots.

  • Reliable on-time delivery to support OEM manufacturing schedules.

Quality Assurance

Every engine mount bracket underwent comprehensive inspection to ensure compliance with customer specifications and automotive quality standards, including:

  • Incoming raw material verification.

  • In-process dimensional inspection.

  • 100% gauge inspection for critical features.

  • Thread quality verification after tapping.

  • Statistical Process Control (SPC) data monitoring.

  • Final visual and dimensional inspection.

  • Full production traceability and quality documentation.

Results

The project successfully delivered high-quality engine mount brackets that met the demanding performance and reliability requirements of the automotive OEM. Through the integration of precision deep drawing, secondary machining operations, and rigorous quality control, the production process achieved excellent dimensional consistency and repeatability across every manufacturing batch. Continuous 100% gauge inspection and Statistical Process Control (SPC) ensured reliable component fitment, minimized process variation, and supported uninterrupted high-volume production throughout the program.
